Here is the helm of N4846X. A two-place trainer, an IFR equipped cross-country machine, or maybe just a go low and slow sunset watcher. Whatever you want to call it is up to you. It serves its purpose--to fly--and it has been a very reliable airplane.

With the equipment at hand, this flying machine is quite capable of flying IFR, as I have successfully accomplished flying under those regulations over dozens of hours.

The following is a brief overview of what equipment is installed, however, the following list is nowhere near as comprehensive as the serial and model number lists I have prepared for the CD-ROM in the records binder:

AIRWORTHINESS DIRECTIVES: All have been complied with and have been descriptively documented, details listed here [this link opens a new window].

Airframe: 26 gallons/22.5 usable fuel system, Pitot heat, Basic Empty Weight 1117 pounds, Max gross takeoff weight 1600 pounds, Lap seat belts (no shoulder harnesses), Reclining seats

Engine: 100 Horsepower Continental O-200-A, Pull-to-Start, Superior Airparts p/n SA10203 cylinders installed during last major overhaul in 1993 (current production Millennium Cylinders are part number SA10200-A20P and that is what I have the 1993 receipt for), Bendix S4LN-21 magnetos, Marvel-Schebler MA-3SPA carburetor

Propeller: McCauley 1A100/MCM6950

Avionics: AMR-350 Audio Panel with Marker Beacon, Two KX-170B Nav/Coms, AT150 Transponder with Mode C encoder, KI-209 Nav/Glideslope Indicator with external KN-73 Glideslope Receiver, KI-201 Nav Indicator, Sigtronics two-place portable intercom, cabin speaker, Ack E-01 ELT (the one that uses Duracell D-cell batteries for inexpensive battery replacement!)

Appliances: Recenty Installed Brackett Air Filter, Recently overhauled Alternator with new Zeftronics Voltage Regulator, Recently overhauled Starter and Starter Clutch, Bendix Magnetos (with recent impulse coupling AD inspection), Side-mounted Oil Filter Adapter, Airborne Dry Vacuum Pump

Instruments: R.C. Allen Attitude Indicator and Heading Indicator, Hobbs meter, Electric Gyro Corp. Turn Coordinator with flag; Cessna airspeed, compass, altimeter...

I have the paperworks, Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and if applicable, the Form 337s for the oil filter adapter, Brackett air filter, voltage regulator, better starter clutch gear, ... as well as the proper logbook entries. At the time of sale, the logbooks and associated records binder will be accompanied by an already existant copy of all airplane logbooks on copier paper, if the new owner desires it.

Equipment that will be sold with the airplane consists of many items, most easily stated items are: lifejackets, tie-down ropes, spare halogen (very bright) landing light, a still operational starter core, a still operational starter clutch gear, sump jar, fuel dipstick, spare fasteners, spare light bulbs and a lot of other small stuff that will make the airplane complete to anybody's needs, if you desire to have these spares and pieces of equipment.
